On the whole, the tripod is ok, there's already enough written. But the description of BONSAI relative to the central column, I can not at all agree. Posted by Bonsai: --------------------------------------- The center column can be solved well and fix inspire confidence again. She has a guide so that they can not rotate. When one moves up the column one should push down the rubber ring on this column. This is namely the "pillars brake". When one moves up the column and want it shut again ate one needs to solve the mounting both hands on the tripod. This can whiz down the column suddenly! ---------------------------------------- Unquote. I could adjust only with extremely high strength, the column even after releasing the clamping ring. For the bathroom scale test taken which went to about 15Kg high when I inserted the column. When I then expanded the column to bring the monopod to face height, the demolition was only possible when I removed the clamp ring and the Kunststoffklemmung. Then use the column (was also very hard (the guide nose is meeting also such a thing), the Kunststoffklemmung attach and thread and screw on the locking ring. Since I have resorted to this tripod because of the Umbaumöglichhkeit, this issue is an absolute no-go.
The three stars because the tripod is otherwise neat, the head well, the bag is sturdy and well made. The tripod comes back. I'm keeping my old Manfrotto and my Cullman shoulder stand, I wanted to replace it with the Rollei to not always having to replace the quick release plates at stand conversion.
Perhaps the tripod has had a problem, but the comparison monopod to stand shoulder was not as clear direction monopod that I have therefore decided to return the tripod. The monopod without center column is just too short. With Mitttelsäule to Tranportieren unwieldy, the shoulder stand fits into the camera bag and is also still a small table tripod.
