Well this live CD. Who looks at the title list, has already guessed. The music is invariably taken from the live DVD, which was released recently. Partly this is a bit unprofessional been cut.
Second minus point is in my opinion a wrong selection. At least half of the songs are from the new album "Wings", which was thrown last year without any promotion carelessly on the German market and therefore had no chance on the charts. Some of these tracks are actually very good, but the real Bonnie Tyler hits are on this compilation clearly outnumbered.
Where are their German hits such as "Have you ever seen the rain?" or "Bitter Blue"?
Now my vote on the individual titles:
1. Holding out for a Hero:
A true classic Tyler, who, however, live comes across not as good on the CD as BonnieŽs voice often goes down in the hoarseness. You can do better. ***
2. All I need is love:
A song from the new album "Wings", which is not too bad, just for this CD too long and unspectacular, a live feeling does not arise, because the public does not know the song. ***
3. Driving Me Crazy:
Also from the new album and a bad track. This song is one of the weak moments on "Wings", no one likes these old-school Lala-Rock Sound hear a la Chris Norman. *
4. Crying in Berlin:
On the new album this song is an absolute Favourit and howler-horny. In the live implementation it loses some of its power still good. ****
5. Celebrate:
See also 3.- a weak track on "Wings" album. To commemorate "Bitter Blue" and on the other hand fails miserably. The live implementation is better implemented, which is precisely Bonnie. **
6. Hold Out Your Heart:
From the new CD. A strong ballad that really makes goose bumps here in the live version, as Bonnie sings this with very deep voice, cool. *****
7. Run Run Run:
On the new CD also a bad rock number. I would hope that Bonnie waived those silly little songs in the future. I do not gefällts. *
8. Louise:
The opener of the CD "Wings" and at the same time new single in England and promo single in many other countries. "Wings" was published in 18 States in 2005. Well, that song is ansich not afflicted with high standards, but a good rock song, live it is also okay. ****
9. Lost in France:
So, now finally a hit from Bonnie your first dating from 1976. Very nice clear live Umsetzung- the audience in the background leaves something to be desired. It is a French seat concert here that certain atmosphere lacking. Still good. ****
10. If you were a woman:
Another hit of 1986. Tyler was never the big name and not tear me today so the stool. ***
11. Total Eclipse of the Heart:
Her big worldwide hit of 1983. Absolutely horny and emotional live implementation. The live DVD is very beautifully sung by Bonnie solely for this song worth the money really. Sounds live today and a lot better with this deeper voice. *****
12. Simply Believe:
From the album "Simply Believe" from 2004 does not even published in Germany. A rock number that is not a real highlight. **
13. Here she comes:
A Bonnie-classic from 1985, although never a big seller. Heard on this CD to the highlights. Bonnie sings the track with a depth that produces goosebumps. Geil. *****
14. Its a heartache:
Bonnie Tyler's biggest hit of 1978 is the end of this CD. In all regularity it occurs today on with this song on TV. But I personally like their implementation of this title is no longer good enough to hoarse, croaking about. I think she could sing it better, but probably believes that people find this interpretation hoarse beautiful. No- I was approached by some acquaintances who have recently seen on television, which did not like. Too bad, otherwise ne nice country number. ***
All in all, worth only 3 stars. The CD has also been produced to me too cheap for so much money, what is required for it. Get your prefer the DVD, the more fun.
Or go to the concert:
14.8.2006 in Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast for example.
