Theoretically (water costs, filter costs) to get to the Brita filter system even better off than if I buy the cheapest bottled water of various discounters.
The filtered water at times and especially at the beginning also includes small even after the third pass granules, but it does not bother me. Activated carbon is not harmful, and since the filter cartridges are autoclaved, everything is pure. How long and whether you should really for 4 weeks use the cartridges that I would really like to know. Coliforms one might not expect to weeks if we are to believe the water analysis of the municipal water supply.
In direct comparison, the filtered water softer, Samter, as the unfiltered tap water tastes. Whether a coffee with filtered or unfiltered water was boiled, then I can not be tasted yet.
The tank (blue) looks good and is big enough for me as an individual. One should drink the water anyway freshly prepared and not leave for days.
A star deduction for the cover mechanics: The would when pouring through the water pressure will automatically rise. Nevertheless, this remains with me very often to so that the water runs out on the edge and each time causing a puddle of water in my kitchen. So I have it mostly open with your finger, so what's not the point of it.
Conclusion: For me the Brita water filter replaces the mineral water bottles purchased, spares my kitchen appliances and supplies my house plants with calcareous water. Priced (if ordered from Amazon!) Even cheaper than buying bottles of mineral water.
