Sangean DCR-9 plus with small weaknesses

The backlight of the display can be dimmed in seven steps or completely disabled. Although the display background is no longer orange but currently (September 2012) is black with white text, I feel the side exiting the display brightness, even at the lowest dimming level, as too bright. When the backlight is off, the time in the dark may even and not difficult to read in bright light.

The DAB reception is good, the FM reception at local stations but only mediocre - this is possibly the fact that the latest version, contrary to the figure, a wire antenna instead of the telescopic antenna has.

Although the device has no power failure back-up battery, the settings will remain - at least for the duration of my 10-minute test - is stored and the time will be automatically restored via DAB.

Who has no problem with either too dark or too bright display and will mainly listen to DAB or via regional FM radio stations will probably be satisfied with the device.
