Uprising (Audio CD)

Customer Review

'Uprising' is Marley's last published during his lifetime and his best album. His greatest songs are indeed on 'Exodus', but is 'Uprising' as opposed to this from a single source and from start to finish strongly, Assertive, traveling and relaxing, and balanced at the same time. It is a pity that from this time no live recordings exist. Marley ends his life as a musician with the Wailers with great songs, the 'Uprising' make it one of the five best reggae discs at all. I hear 'Uprising' now for 25 years and keep discovering new songs of the plate for me. Of the lesser known are very nice 'pimpers Paradise' and 'Forever Loving Jah. The album ends with Bob Marley's legacy, the 'Redemption Song': 'Help me singin' thesis songs of freedom, they 're all I ever had'. The bonus tracks would not have been necessary.
