This is divided into 7 points - starting with the first impression of the device to a short summary of the features.
- First impression -
In general, the device makes a really good figure.
It is decorated in an elegant white and the screen goes almost seamlessly into the actual panel, only the cover on the back of the TV spoils the first impression a bit, because it was made of but very cheap looking plastic.
- Features -
Starting with me rather unimportant features - namely the Smart TV features.
To this end, I can not only say that the platform seems to be to be very immature in their jetigen form.
The menu in the Smart TV sector often takes a long time, the browser also responds slowly or often not even in my case, and I had already 3 lockups (device stuck simple - pull the power plug) to the device.
Previously, I have of course checked the firmware version and discovered to my regret, that the device had been partly filled with the latest FW. Thus, possible performance boosts by updates were excluded for the time being.
On the other hand act features like the "2 Player Mode" and Media Center (Home Server) Streaming Apps very mature and all work smoothly.
There are also all the expected picture and sound settings in the submenus and these do what they should.
Only and alone set the rather complicated way the headphone volume, (which is used by me often because I run a stereo system via a 3.5 mm jack) has slightly disappointed me personally.
- Image and sound -
On this point I consider myself short.
Picture - For my taste perfectly and by the Ambilight 47 inch screen has the same effect even greater. (Had previously impressed no device with this technology and am real.)
Ton - For built-in speakers are those classified in comparison to other TVs in the upper segment.
Crisp and Clear from as much as I can hear. :)
- Operation / construction -
The design was simple and required in my case only a screwdriver and the supplied Allen key.
The device is relatively still pretty easy to grip, which has facilitated the cultivation of TV Stands enormous.
In short - 5 minutes you have your equipment ready for operation on the spot. So that is.
In terms of operation, it looks similar.
While there are quite nested options in submenus (Advanced picture and sound settings for example), but these are quickly found and thus there is no problem here.
- Connectivity -
All connectors and cables (see Product Description) exist as specified and fulfill their purpose.
Too bad only that the audio cable for the component input is not included included.
Luckily I had are a suitable cable home.
WiFi (G standard 54Mbps) also works well and is fast enough for all available applications (provided that the software allows).
- 3D -
A feature which is rarely used by me, but also tested for functionality and with my predecessor device (Samsung brand) was compared.
In itself, it can be said - the picture remains sufficiently bright and contrasty even with the 3D representation.
2D to 3D conversion is also possible as would be expected, even if I personally look relatively unimportant (nice gimmick, not really presentable) this option.
Despite everything is said, which also this feature to work properly.
The real "3D depth effect" is missing as expected mostly.
- Smart TV -
This is probably the only reason why the device gets the 5 possible stars in the end only 4.
It is in short, everything is much too slow and partly it works sometimes not at all.
Whether "Social TV", "Skype", "Internet TV" or the Internet browser Opera-based.
So if you want specifically define a TV due to these skills, then you're probably here (at least for the time status: mid-August 2013) at the wrong address.
I personally, however, have chosen my TV on other bases, and was even partly very pleasantly surprised. (Impressive image quality and Ambilight XL)
It should also be said that there will be in the future with certainty or firmware updates that may improve overall stability.
- Conclusion -
Those looking for a good all round the TV and on the Smart TV features largely dispense "could" - which will be more than happy with this device.
However, if the point Smart TV should focus on, you're probably with other devices (purely speculative and compared with my Vorgerät!) Better off.
All in all, a good product and recommended quite further.
