The design is in my opinion very successful, the build quality UDN top. The Boombass feels top quality!
The packaging is made of sturdy cardboard HTC and is used to store the Boombass (protection against dust).
Thanks to a magnet in the side cover, can easily open the packaging and use up again, so you packing when opening not destroyed (just not a cheap paper / plastic can tear the). Very convenient !!!
The bass can be quite strong depending on the song, so the Boombass sometimes begins to walk on the ground. Fortunately, HTC has attached to the underside a rubber coating so that it mostly remains in the same place.
The foot of Boombass extendable, so you can place it be One (handy when he stands on rough ground and you want to be protected One front scratching).
On the back there is the microUSB connector for charging the Boombass and the on / off switch.
The Akkuaufzeit surprised me very positively, because I need to charge only 3-4 times him in the last 3 months. The Boombass holds definitely very long, so you have to do not worry that it stops after only 6 hours. Since making the voher One limp;)
The beiligende instructions I found a bit sparse, so it took some time until I found out how to connect the Boombass with the HTC One easiest.
The connection can be made most easily through NFC. Therefore one must NFC on the One turning on, and the one with the back (about level with the camera) on top of the Boombass hold (1 second is enough) and wait. The boom is a bass sound, the One also and already are both connected to 2-3 seconds on Bluetooth.
The great thing is that the boom bass must be sure not turned on !!! Very practical thanks to NFC :)
The same procedure must be performed for decoupling. After uncoupling the Boombass switches after about 2 minutes automatically completely (or pressing the manual stop button).
Personally, I am very impressed with the sound and the volume of the bass, the magic of Boombass! (Especially when you consider its size)
Meanwhile has the software updates from HTC, the ratio of the volume of the HTC One Boombass significantly improved. So you can hear the bass boom even if the cell phone on the smallest Laustärkestufe plays music, what on Android 4.3.X was not the case before the update. And with the latest update to 4.4.2 with Sense 6 (a few weeks ago), the bass seems to have become richer and the vote fits finally :)
With the HTC One and Boom Bass combined one notices a clear difference between music with a lower bit rate of, for example, 128 kbit / s to a high of 320 kbit / s!
At 128 kbit / s, the sound is much worse and especially both devices are then much quieter!
A little tip: If you still represents the Boombass the closet or on the guitar, the bass has once more volume! So the boom bass is my opinion very good for listening to music, so I do not need any more stereo :) (in a rented apartment with poorly sound-proofed walls)
Important Info: Boom Bass is an HTC feature and operates only with the One series, and even with the original software from HTC (no Custom Roms).
This is due to the driver of HTC, which ensures that the smartphone reproduces the high notes and the Boombass only the low tones. For all other Sartphones / Custom Roms missing the driver, so there is heard only the dull thud of the bass and the Smartphone Boom Speakers remain mute.
I am very pleased with the Boombass and would buy it again or recommend it highly! :)
