Miss Alabama and its secrets (Paperback)

Customer Review

October 2008.
Birmingham - Alabama.
Maggie, Brenda and Ethel working in all three real estates Hazel, who died recently.
Maggie, in her sixties, former Miss Alabama; Brenda, first Black woman who entered politics in Birmingham and addicted to glucose; Ethel, 88 years and violet color from head to toe and finally Hazel, a sort of leprechaun a meter-two who ran this little world of a master hand ...
But there is a catch. Maggie wants to end his days: after the sudden death of Hazel, she no longer has the courage to continue. Not want to face old age or the fact that she was ever married, she has not had children ... Maggie feel missed out on his life.
Between visits homes, pettiness in the world of real estate and mini survey around a strange skeleton, you are literally caught in the story.
Translation Jean-Luc Piningre also is excellent; turns of phrase are so rightly reflected that one gets to hear that Southern drawl so typical.
I had seen the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" also taken from the book by Fannie Flagg and I remember that I had loved. "Miss Alabama and its little secrets" is in the same vein.
What a nice story!
I will not reveal anything about the plot by teaching you that Maggie will not put his plans. No, she did not commit suicide because it will become aware of the value of life because yes, we are all lucky to be alive.

"As long as we breathe, we had a head start."

If you are not at your best, you do not have the moral that you have concerns or just want to read a good book that truth will do you good, I advise you (and prescribes) "Miss Alabama and its little secrets" because it will certainly make you an ox effect!
