Kunze has indeed been invented so many words construct what was not found proven in the German language before him, the time machine, however, also succeeded him previously concoct. The mystery of how a live album may have been recorded before the tour, already airs in the small print of the album title: "sigh of relief - Live at Radio Berlin". It was there played HRK with overall gain a radio concert in front of hand-picked audience (card there was only to win), which of course the new album in the focus shifted (7 titles), but also some big hits from the past presented (four to be exact : displaced, Do not hang up, body and soul, You are my Heart), which, although played all close to the familiar arrangement, but were clearly felt kindled the fire of heavier songs of the current panel. Beautiful, rewarding versions. The fresh songs sound here a lot (in the best sense of the word) dirtier than in the studio production. In particular, "Do you not ashamed?" and "European Son" show teeth and their rock slogans qualities. Even the pop hit of last year's record, the single "Hello heaven", confesses her relationship to the heavier songs of the album here. Musically so far as absolutely worthwhile.
But then added another three new speech texts each about two minutes long, the harder rock than the songs mentioned above! They need no freaking band as a power amplifier, the light too. Recent events seem to inspire Kunze and finally let him back sometimes show teeth, without which he would be in danger of getting lost in the class struggle slogans. For this he never bowed, will continue to do so - so good! But he growls no longer, he finally bites. You must very remember that Kunze actually loves America and so many almost tenderly spoke of the country times; especially in the context of the music. But one must not (and should not!) Tend to anti-Americanism to yet in over resounding revelations about the political and economic institutions of the self-proclaimed pioneer nation in terms of democracy and human rights to feel rising Zornesröte, and even more about the smug dealing with it. In the very first speech text "Why I hear nothing?" Kunze occurs without warning his (and my) are heroes to her feet: Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young? What's wrong with you? Why we do not hear from you really so critical spirits about the incredible chutzpah with which the US government and you listening to us and every principle of freedom tramples here? Why no word from you to Edward Snowden, who defended the much-quoted values of freedom America more, nota bene also patriotic and selfless than your Nobel Peace Prize preloaded rhetoric president (not that my Neanderthal imitation would have been previously prefer!). Strong lyrics, all three. Just a pity that here breaks down the non-optimal recording quality live recording. To clear the recording of songs, you can hear unfortunately in the presentations a buzzing tone in the background; tolerable, but perceptible, even mildly embarrassing for a radio station.
Rounding out this album, with three demos from production to final studio album; including live only without an audience. All three (The clown screaming "fire", the truth of victory, kisses under the dress) are all very well received, so no makeshift hingeklampften campfire demos with bananas text. The versions here are especially airy, not yet arranged to the last detail by, different and worth listening to.
All in all, "sigh of relief - Live at Radio Berlin" a snapshot, not a future classic, a typical fan-topic, an in-between album, adding a flat - but a really good! The opportunity handset is not meant here.
