First of all:
I have 1 loved Dragon Age as a game. I've played through a total of 5 times from start to finish, without cheats or shortcuts, with almost all DLCs. The official addon to DAO I have no less played.
So you come to nearly 150 hours I spent in the world of Ferelden. Outstanding was always the group game in a realistic fantasy world, tactical battles and an interesting story for me.
Dragon Age 2:
I really want to get straight to the point and not leave a Games Test here. Here the points that are blatantly in my opinion between Dragon Age 2 and its predecessor.
- Still the game total
DAO seemed realistic, DA2 ore artificially (the entire interface seems inappropriate)
A small example of this; was the witch Flemeth; previously a credible person, represented oversubscribed in DO2 (old hag with model figure, Domina outfit and hairstyle Manga)
- Games World
DA2 affects the landscape empty and desolate, Dungeons are set with the kit together, invigorating element (animals, animations, interactive devices) can be counted on one hand.
- Graphics
This has done nothing that can be judged as you like
- History
The story is much more boring, the characters sometimes very pale.
- Fight
Goods for me in DAO the highlight, tactical demanding and incredibly exciting. In DA2 it not much left. Fought too often against cannon fodder in masses, battle speed is too high for real planning (I wanted a slow motion function for fighting). Here, the fears of many players DAO have come true: DA2 wanted enhanced appeal Action Players and the developers have also managed at the expense of the lovers of tactically oriented battles.
- Character Development
The talent trees of DA2 I like better than the talent development in DAO. It surprises me a little that almost the attribute distribution is not even the Causal scissors fell victim.
- Time
I am after 10 hours of not quite through, but it's starting to see the DA2 only has about half of the season of his predecessor. The attraction of the new By playing is also significantly lower than that of DAO.
Conclusion:
Those like me who loved Dragon Age Origins because it applied to a Lord of the Rings game world is really disappointed with tactical battles and epic coherent story that is.
I've pre-ordered my game I regret now that I hope the developers will be disappointed by the sales figures and focus again on the virtues of the first part. It is better to wait a bit until the sale price is set down.
Addendum:
I am now almost through and may my impressions so far as described above also confirm. Three things have yet emerged over time.
1. It can be clearly noted that time and again the same level are used. It more than if the game is to come up with so little effort as possible on his playing time. That's not necessarily nice but we need therefore to be feared Playtime not "Call of Dagen Age" with 8 hours.
2. I often caught here as I have pondered for several minutes in the character screen on the best Talenverteilung. That's not negative to understand. Those like me who like to play (in Wizadry I have optimized my groups over days using Excel) spends time will rejoice that took place here, unlike DAO improvement.
3. The first 2, or maybe even the first 3 levels of difficulty you should leave if you do not want to play as an action title DA2.
I would therefore now would rather give 4 stars instead of 3. The predecessor I would have to give but also 6 stars :).
