Walimex 8mm f / 2.8 on the Sony Nex 5N

Only in the second attempt I got a lens, which works fine on the NEX 5N.
The first objective I have to return because at full aperture so f = 2.8 to objects,
who were farther away than 5m, could no longer be focussieren. The distance scale stood already at infinity.
But since I certainly can not think of situations where I because of lack of light such as in a hall
choose a large aperture needs, this objective was not acceptable for me.
I sent it back and get another. Ran Distance tests so
successful. I have therefore made recordings and am happy with the results.

What I do not like it well:
The distance ring is relatively stiff. The turning away from the close range to infinity is relatively long.
There is no depth of mark on the lens. Also in the operating instructions there is no depth of field table.
Vertical lines at the edges are bent sharply. I have a program concerned (ShiftN)
the images somewhat realign. Some photographs (photographer), this effect is entirely desirable,
So this is not an objective disadvantage.
When flashes (with the puny Nex 5 Aufsteckblitz) only a small part of the image is illuminated and the shadow of the lens is very visible. For the lens with its large field of view, however, can not.

What I like good
Very good and solid workmanship. The surface is insensitive. The lens is very handy and fits the size ratio very good 5N on the NEX. The camera is thus not overweight or bulky and is easy to handle.

Tips for practice
Aperture 8 is the "sharpest" panel. With 4m Focusing everything is sharp from a distance of 1m.
Camera on "A" provide easy-and-shoot. And take care that your fingers and feet do not get the picture.
