First point to the attention of those who, like me, discover the adventures of Carl Morck reading "Deliverance": If this investigation follows "Desecration" and "Mercy", it is not absolutely necessary to have read them to enjoy this sequel. It's a bit like starting the dune watching the TV series season 3: you lose a little of the depth and complexity of the characters, but none of the plot and you can still watch the reruns. The comparison with a detective series for television dailleurs is more than superficial. Jussi Adler-Olsen has a writing style quite simple, direct and very visual, so quon easily imagine a transposition of the story on the screen. Impression reinforced by well drawn characters different characters including the fine team of the department V., Department of Danish Cold Case, television metaphor for spinning.
The only criticism I can make to this book, this is a rather slow, especially at startup. After we put water in his mouth in the very first pages, the author then needs another 100 pages to actually initiate the plot. Too bad, it would have been possible to make this block a little more than 600 pages digestible. However, the investigation semballe then, intrigues multiply, and with all its other qualities (including remarkable translation notes), the book takes place with pleasure before the eyes of the reader.
