The Lumia 1020 is a Windows Phone (WP) and I save here big words, just as much: Who is Android or iPhone fanboy, it should be perhaps remain to pick up a WP device. Or perhaps because of it, because the system unfortunately does not have much market share and therefore is quite unknown in the "iPhone / Samsung municipality". People, it's just different, high-performance and great to use - tried it try!
And yes, there are apps, even abundant, also quiz duel, WhatsApp and Facebook. In addition, a media player with Dolby-extension, a decent mail program and a class calendar. And if that's not good enough, looking out of the store just an app out, which is still great :-) And the prejudice that the WP-AppStore is fitted skinny compared to Android and iOS stores: not everything believe what is told so ... there's more to it than meets the eye and there is every day more so. So please no prejudice against WP if you have not seen it myself in action (and amazed) has ;-)
The Lumia 1020 itself is processed great, feels great and is fast rats. The system is very well set up for customization with their own backgrounds, app folders, ringtones, own arrangement of application tiles and 1,001 setting. The "view" screen, which always displays the time, dates and alerts for messages, etc. What Apps on the device turned off, in my opinion, is a unique selling point.
The battery life is - as with most other smartphones - about one day. But is now no stunning insight, right? ;-) Tip: Buy yourself a battery extender, then you have always some energy on the go. A micro SD card slot does not exist, but is also at 32GB of memory is not quite as important. Otherwise: Once a month, transfer the images to your hard drive and good. One does at the digicam also so similar. But for a long vacation with lots of photos enough memory thick.
The battery is not replaceable by the way. This can be found, as you want to - to me it's more wurscht.

I was almost shocked when I zoomed in with the Lumia Camera app in my recorded 34 MP images: When a colleague from the middle distance image, I could zoom into individual skin pores !! Incredible! And the fact that the digital zoom can rely on such a gigantic resolution, provide a true zoom images succeed without quality loss. The color fidelity I like that, only the smartphone typical "red spot" (as there are talks about it, yet no one knows exactly where it comes from ...) is very easily available at very white backgrounds, but less strongly than others cell phone cameras.
All in all, the Lumia 1020, the perfect combination of smart and high-quality digital camera, without embarrassed to act like the Samsung Galaxy Zoom, which makes with its optical zoom lens not really great pictures and making you look grotesque. The 1020 is actually a "normal" phone, which has a small nub at the back.
Conclusion: the Lumia 1020 is a great phone and has an even crazier camera that is certainly much better than the "good" of Otto Normalbürger.Und digicam to take good pictures when you still have the talent, then ... The device is the ideal choice if you want to combine the comfort of a high-end Smarphones with an extremely good camera that can be taken anywhere.
