Attached are the "even" game three bottle caps which each have a B, an R or an F (which could mean anyway?) Emblazoned on it. On the back of the board to all the texts of the new album and weathered-looking photos are of the three good-looking and drying Men Bela, Farin & Rod from Berlin (Berlin!)
Weathered affects the cardboard box where CD and play in it: the white spots seen already when unpacking a little stained and verranzt out, as if the album its existence eked several years in a second-hand shop in a dingy little room (which means " will never happen in real life "with such a disk, of course). Doctors have outdone themselves with the package itself. I was curious if it can be even better than in "Jazz is different" (pizza box) or "Invisible" (light blue plush bag). It is better!
Oh, wait a minute ... there's even music in it. I had almost missed ... sixteen tracks there this time, and they sound so homogeneous as rare. The songs are divided about equally between the three, with sixteen songs that is "about" attached. According to reports, there was so much song material, the band has only once picked a song from each what definitely is on the disc, then another three, and so on. Eventually got the tracklist in this way.
And considered style song technically, doctors are open minded and playful than ever before. Besides drums bass guitar, there are even occasional synths and violins uff .... (!) To hear. Most songs have violent catchy qualities. Punk is the loose clip, from there being experimented in all directions.
What's more important than ever represented: there is no self decorative dismay in the texts, no proselytizing and no World explanatory models.
Instead, stories are told that a stick to it: What about the Tamagotchi from the trash? What are the consequences of the walk in the woods? Is there really heard something better than the doctors? If the young man one day can get rid of its "fiasco"? Retains the bed-magnetic ultimately the power?
Farin's "Is not Punk Rock" is also a song which will also depend on its contents. In the always somewhat sensitive issue of proper tone is taken textually accurate. "Bitch" is wonderful also because Bela with his singing in the chorus takes on a somewhat nasty role. Rod's catchy "I like that" is a lyrical mystery and listening to Poltergeist moderately on: "Just go into the light" Ever Rod's songs this time are highly unusual - just a shame the "Quadrophenia" has landed on the B-side of the first single - it would be one of the best tracks of this album.
Not least because of the track "TCR" in which several styles are afloat off the cuff is to remember with what composition and playfulness doctors are "also" gone in to work. It will be exciting what songs are released as a single. Basically, every contribution is a candidate.
The anticipation of the already almost completely sold-out concerts and festivals during the summer has become even greater. Doctors have again an excellent album at the start. Let's see if they also announced the break back and are still served us some great albums ...: o)
