The NAS is great and the manufacturer Synology is something like AVM routers at: It is constantly evolving and you get all the new features on its "old" NAS. So that is fun and for this alone there were 5 stars.

So why not 5 stars?

- It gives me absolutely incomprehensible why the Box WOL (Wake Up on LAN) can not handle. Why should I leave the box always run if I could activate when required (eg via VPN). Can I just do not explain.

A minor drawback is the external power supply. Here I would have liked a built solution - simply to save space.

All in all I can this NAS and the manufacturer recommend only because of the update policy.
