Above all, it has not yet been broken, but does what it should, which was not the case with my previous device, which can be found on its design / model type more common in the market, as a measuring tip is broken.
With this device, I have therefore looked at carefully before use the probes and their fastening and have to say that this is quite solid and sturdy work. Better, of course, goes on, but I am confident that it will survive the intended use without you will need to exercise too much caution.
While it lacks a backlight, but the unit has a hold button, which is really very useful. It is great and fits comfortably in your hand. The protective cap for the tips can be attached to the device and the bottom, so they can not be lost (with other devices, the cap is designed in part as a flap that can not lose weight, but only has to fold down; depending on the application that is perhaps even more practical ).
A bit annoying is that the knob to turn over 3 Sec. must hold long (the accidental activation in your pocket prevented) and that the device then always starts in timber mode with activated beep. This must be so, if necessary, every time switch. With beep, the device is reminiscent of a Geiger counter. Sometimes this is quite useful, but I think it would be better if the device would start by default with deactivated tone, or best remembers the last setting.
A very positive point for me is the operation with 9V batteries / accumulators. Although not included with that comes certain favorable than the coin-cell otherwise often used in the long run, because I assume that the demand for energy will not be higher than in the button cell devices.
