Access to the camera is super light. Have tried D200 with battery grip and mounted 18-135er my nikon. Even with the strap place where it was sometimes a bit fiddly. Without belt it sure would be better. For quick Zugiff simply carry on only the closure, but leave the zipper open. Zipper very smoothly.
Sufficient storage space for small items. Good padding all around. The eyelets act with value and are made of metal.
Only the rain cover is a bit stubborn when attaching. With a little practice it works then faster. Unfortunately, here also, as with most Toploadern the raincover on the body facing side is open. The focus of the camera is with body and battery grip on the lifting eyes, thus a little shaky. If the pocket is located on the body but no problem at all. Only when handling should you look that you take the hand strap or the pocket to hold is so that nothing can fall out.
For me, yet not the optimal solution because it has in combination with the backpack pocket always front of the body or in the way if you are traveling with sticks. The only reason I sent them finally back. Theoretically, the bag could also hook the lap of the backpack. But seemed impractical because it then triggers due to the length of the thigh. Difficult because to find a solution, since a DSLR is just a little bulkier.
Conclusion: very great Toploader for trips or walks or photo to the camera in the backpack to vestauen.
