The setting up of the machine designed also for a coffee pad Schin novice like me, simple and easy. Having to draw great to rate even without the manual, the machine is set up properly in a few seconds.
On my machine, however, the indicated on the side in the delivery of Amazon milk container is missing. My milk foam tube is sufficiently long and flexible to mount it into the glass, which I as a replacement for the missing milk container use.
In my case the machine is just off the kitchen wall, so I first had to go a little forward for the exchange of the water tank. Meanwhile, I have, however, found a position as I get the container with some sleight of hand from the machine without having to displace this and without it taking away too much space on the worktop. It's a bit fiddly and sicherliche it would be nice, the machine would be free, but I have a free-standing course not in my kitchen but very large. As a particularly difficult or annoying, I would not call this.
Before first use, the machine should be flushed once. It does so on its own as soon as they turn on with inserted and inflated water tank.
And then there was also going on already. My husband and I were excited with cups and glasses fitted in front of the machine and easily Yes everyone, I thought to myself and put right with latte macchiato lot. In fact, the machine makes beautiful milk foam and the coffee forms in perfect layers, without the need to change something in it magnificent. Unfortunately, my 0.5 Latte Macchiato glass was full, only about two-thirds.
(The taste was great, and I was really fascinated by the milk foam. Absolutely no comparison to my previously used Tupperware (c) Crema Momenti)
The next my husband was my turn, a simple cup of normal strong coffee he wanted, put his coffee cup underneath and pressed the appropriate keys and also got more of a cup of coffee. (The taste very pleasant for the afternoon coffee, the morning he shall both of us be a bit more.)
So the strong coffee twice at the next attempt was chosen this time pressed for two cups and put a cup underneath. This time the cup was full and the coffee is really very strong.
Now I wanted to try Cafe Latte, which also worked well and was very tasty. Hot milk can prepare the machine also, just like cappuccino.
Here with us always in the small cup version.
According to the manual, you can set the amount of coffee. However, this does not work, despite intensive tests with us.
I suspect it as we operate exactly as described in the instructions the setup program, but the machine does not do what we want here is a defect.
For this reason the Service homepage of Philips was visited by me.
There is a link for a coffee service forum, unfortunately, this link leads to nothing but (Error 404). The chat was when I wanted to sign me, unavailable because it is already after 20 hours was well. So I wrote an email and explained the problem.
The further course of these exchanges will be portrayed by me here.
However, one can with the machine easily produce large quantities of coffee, by simply selecting two Mug Volume, I find this defect (Who knows, maybe it's an operator error on our part) so not too dramatic.
I have been using the machine then the Senseo Choco Break, 5-pack (5 x 108g) made hot chocolate, which I however clearly too watery found at the first attempt. On the second try I poured some milk in the cup before and was clearly surprised by the flavor-improving.
In the hot chocolate you should stir definitely, otherwise the chocolate settles into the cup below.
Cleaning machine and the milk hose are simple and easy. The flushing goes fast.
I'm going to handle it in the morning so that I place the machine when I go to the bathroom, come out of the bathroom, take my drink, then hang the milk hose in a water tank and rinse leaving while I get dressed.
Shutdown does the machine itself, if it is not used for 15 minutes.
For me as totally helpless person, for that matter making coffee with filters and machines without pads or capsule that Senseo is a real revelation. Simple to use and with very satisfactory results, especially as regards the milk foam. (According to the manual one should here use very cold milk, so that the result is the best. Our milk came out of the refrigerator and me has the consistency of very very much.)
Note would be that the machine caused quite a bit of steam, according as what specialty coffee is prepared. I'd be only just below a shelf, and I have but they put away, since the steam would certainly leave there with frequent wear.
The water tank could actually in heavy coffee consumption may be slightly larger, as we but rarely more than one or two drink large cups, can be without that.
Conclusion: Aside from the fact that it is not yet possible to me two huge mugs whatsoever to draw any kind of coffee and that the specified milk container is missing, I am very positively impressed by the machine gets quite very chic in the kitchen.
It would, however, be noted that this is the first pad machine / capper in our household and I was always terribly annoyed by the coffee machine with filters, or with integrated grinder from my husband.
Very good, I like the milk froth and the possibility even just hot milk produce.
(About my contact with the customer service of Philips I'll nachberichten here later!)
Best gave me the coffee with the Zanzibar Caffè Crema Pads, 16er, 3-pack (3 x 112 g) tasted. I'll be there but now slow times booze me through the range and then further reports, which are really good and tasty.
EDIT:
Meanwhile, I have an answer from Philips namely milk container and the item to adjust the amount of coffee contained only in the high-end version of the device. (The manual makes it clear, apparent from the model number, this I had not checked, because I did not realize that the manual was not written exclusively for my unit.)
This machine So here is not the high-end version, even if the product text here and the image still suggest.
I am also so very pleased with the machine, but can not find product and packaging text here but clearly misleading and hope for rectification.
The Philips customer service was very friendly, but trained very impersonal and apparently rhetorically to the inhumanity that read very much like to say setting kit. As my question was however clarified, I will not complain too much because times.
