I was very surprised what new musical path Richard Marx on this album goes. Most he is known for hits from the 80s, such as "Right Here Waiting For You" or "Satisfied". At these times he collaborated with rock musicians like Steve Lukather of Toto or the top session guitarist Michael Landau. The last albums were already quiet, but still in the typical melodic Marx style, which has always attached importance to nice guitar riffs and melodies. This is hardly or no more be heard in this new album. He experimented a lot and has a lot of really new, what one is not accustomed to it. Richard Marx himself says his son had influenced him by electronic music and he had taken it. So for those who love the old albums: Listen to it only at times. For me it is the major disappointment in 2014. As for me is nothing left of what Marx otherwise distinguished. I do not recognize his style here is nothing special for me, the voice is completely different set. Perhaps others find it so great, I as an old Marx Fan'm not thrilled with this direction.
