We used our sony RX 100. I was very scared at the beginning of a leak, but finally we used it one month in Hawaii by using it almost every day to make underwater photos and we did not have any worries. Easy access to buttons depends a lot on your device, for us the upper wheel was too difficult to move, so we set the mode in which we wanted to take pictures before going into the water, then on the sony Video button is easy to access so no problem to switch pictures and videos in the manual settings by water.For against it would be really complicated. No worries of steam or material change in light due to the glass and more. I recommend it for people who do not wish to make special under water manual settings, and just swimming with a mask and snorkel (for diving it is better a box).
