Very remarkable!

First of all: Reason for FZ1000 acquisition is my intention to definitively separate me from my full-size equipment with various L lenses and two Sonys, namely Nex7 and A6000 with various lenses and just have to have a camera with me that everything possible can. The Nex7 was an attempt to let the DSLR as often as possible at home. I had the hardware then topped with the A6000, because they may be more than the Nex7. I use a telephoto zoom a Tamron 18-200 (KB: ca. 27-300), the good plays together with the Nex7 but not focused rapidly, repeatedly it comes to focussing errors to which I have become accustomed but , Unfortunately, the results with this zoom on the A6000 is not so good (the super nice Tamron service should there again be asked for help).
Long introduction to explain why I on the FZ1000 "sharp" am now, it is supposed to be sooo good.
The many very positive images, such as the Traumflieger.de had nourished this hope, as well as the preparation of sample images dpreview.de. So bought! And not from Amazon because it was just not.

The camera is so new and so gepuscht that maybe interested in a first unfinished by rating her opinion. There is no happy ending first, as you will read. One more thing: For video functions I am interested not so, so this opinion.

Externally:
Pushed together very cuddly and sympathetic to me, much smaller than my DSLR, already larger than the Sony's (meant by the Tamron 18-200), easy to transport in smaller camera bags. Lens fully extended: to keep Fairly long but good.
Something unusual is the plastic feel. Also unusual that the camera turning on and off Removing the lens and enters; it does well when the shutter button halfway pressed after viewing photographs in order to photograph again can. Also unusual: There are only a couple of screens, I think max. 8th.
Everything not a criticism, everything known only impressions, not completely.

First use:
The lens knurpselt violently when you turn on the camera and the lens to the operational initial position moves (which are a few centimeters to the widest angle range is achieved). But that happens very quickly.
Viewfinder and display image are prima bright and the viewfinder provides for eyeglass wearers the full overview.

I am quite disappointed that the quality of Nex7 / Tamron I could not reach. Many recordings were focused blurred, once there was an unexplained darkening in the upper part of the image. I had the camera so only briefly and probably not yet identified and exploited all operating options; the focus ranges but I have found and correctly set. Other tests it not arrived:

Already at the very first turn on the camera autofocus refused to cooperate and gave an error message. That was after a short and everything seemed to be working properly, because the test shots were taken. After about an hour, but he could not continue, the camera system reported an error and was also by the usual measures, such as switching on and off, battery out and back in with Pause, not persuade.
I'll send back the camera and receive in exchange a functioning hopefully. It may be that this error has also affected the quality of the test shots.
I will complement this report, if there is any news.

One thing is certain: If an intact FZ1000 also provide such images, it can not replace my cameras. On the other hand reports and test photos from the Internet are so good that I hope and give first four stars.

For four days I now have a functioning FZ1000. The first day I spent trying to eat my way through the dozens of pages of a forum for the relevant subject. I learned a lot of experiences and tips and tricks. Then I spent half a day trying to figure out the camera and how to use them. Since I am in the practical testing. I asked a good friend to take pictures with me in sync comparison shots with his Nex7-Tamron 18-200 combination. There please grin none because of Nex7. These "old" camera offers image quality, for example, with a modern Alpha Sony Alpha 6000 (I have unfortunately a) can not be achieved. Better lenses mitigate the problem, but not fix it.

Now for FZ1000. Anticipated: I am just thrilled.

The picture is quickly selected in the bright viewfinder, adjust the zoom range. The camera fires thanks to the really fast autofocus from lightning. In normal light, the aperture priority, "5.6" will do just fine to connect an outstanding optical performance, a sufficient depth of field with a fast shutter speed in many cases.

The most important thing: The image quality! This is surprisingly good. Detailed and sharp photos of FZ1000 my opinion, the results of Nex7-Tamron combo surpass significantly. The picture quality is so good that I can actually give up my full-frame Canon lenses with the top well, especially since I rarely carry around and my motive preferences and processing requirements have completely changed this also for weight reasons. By which I do not mean to imply that the FZ1000 produces better pictures, the not now. But the FZ1000 shot a mighty hole in the wall and DSLR is many dedicated photographers satisfy.
Therefore now full 5 stars and a change in the title of the review.
