Certainly you will find traditional fast food: hamburgers and coleslaw salad; hotdog and bagel ... that are tastier, however; and then the classic "family" as the Thanksgiving turkey or the equally famous brownies. The book offers a culinary tour of the USA with a focus on some areas that all have their specificities. The plus of the book: besides nice big pictures appetizing, a little story on the flat (or origin) before each recipe, illustrating the wealth of a country with multiple influences. The recipes are simple but tasty little we reach -for some of them I precise- find some typically American ingredients but can sometimes substitute an equivalent depending on what we find here. Nothing therefore unaffordable. Discover or rediscover the rich Cobb salad, delicious jambalaya with shrimp, the inevitable pecan pie or the amazing angel food cake: sweet you will not throw your egg whites and to sell them in no Time for a treat as the sweet tooth will love. So ?! Who says Americans do not know how to cook?
