I found this tome at once sensual, passionate, intense, and at the same time, Robbie's personality brings a hardness that I had not found in other volumes. One can say that it is sparing nothing Rosalin, both to protect her, but himself. It is for me one of the men of the Guard and the hardest to bright far. I burst before the inner battle that leads: to follow her instincts and her feelings for Rosalin at risk to fail the mission and jeopardize the truce that Bruce wants at all costs with England.
Finally, I think that's one of the volumes in the series that touched me the most, when I really felt some emotion, as well in some passages, when Robbie reveals what happened to all his family. Above all, one of the twists involving the Guard put me on tenterhooks ... Stay tuned ^^
So I succumbed once again penned by Monica McCarty and her beautiful Highlanders. This romance takes all that walking in the other volumes of the series (the strong historical, characters with a strong character, emotion and passion), while still managing to be even better if possible.
