1) The lMAGES themselves are great. The objective is fun. Even in low light.
2) The transmission speed of the 2MP images is ok (2-3 seconds), the big take then advance a little longer. However, the course is not necessary if you use a memory card.
3) I had the iPhone does not take from the shell to "anzuklemmen" the lens. Fits well as keeping.
4) I usually think the QX100 but loose in hand. This takes some practice, so that lMAGES not be wrong. But also allows for interesting perspectives.
5) Coupling the QX100 with the iPhone takes almost 30 seconds at me. The following steps are necessary because the iPhone has not NFC.
- Switching QX100
Select Wi-Fi hotspot at the QX100 iPhone -
- Is found PlayMemeoriesApp start and wait the CAM
For snapshots, so that's nothing. :-)
6) Now the big drawback: The Sony app for the iPhone is "A PAIN IN THE A **" !!
How to throw only one such half-baked app for such a high-priced product on the market?
I do not know how many crashes I had in the first few minutes. It usually happens when you turn the QX100. So often.
And if the app abstüzt, then it takes quite time 4-5 seconds until berappelt the app again and displays a live image.
Quite apart from the menu system and the inability to lay down the release button on the other side. So it is in landscape mode always right. What is pretty bad when you hold the iPhone in your left hand and the QX100 loose in the right.
Conclusion: In order to test the QX100 properly it needs a good APP. With the current PlayMemories by Sony in the AppStore you tend to feel you have "won" a product of the gumball machine. This sucks then quickly quite formidable.
I'm going to test the QX100 a few more days. Perhaps there is indeed in the time PlayMemories update in the AppStore. I hope yes on third-party. The make matters often better than the actual manufacturer.
With regard to the rating I've been thinking more stars to give. Only it is a regrettable fact that the QX100 WITHOUT the app is actually not really use. That would be a snap without viewfinder.
Therefore must here already, the corresponding "service" with the vote. And that has sadly not even deserve a star.
UPDATE: I just noticed that all images are marked with the date 01.01.2013. Allegedly accepts the QX-100, the date of the coupled device. Works well not really with iOS7. Down to one star.
UPDATE: Now that I've tested with memory card: Unfortunately, the naming of the images is inconsistent. Images that are transmitted directly to the iPhone start with "IMG _.....". On the memory card, the images are but "..... DSC" stored under the name. Whether that makes sense or not I do not know yet. Anyway, the smell later after many duplicates on your computer / iPhone.
UPDATE: According to request the Sony support I received just following comprehensive answer:
