And so welcome to "Mortal Kombat X", the fighting game for real men, the beat 'em up which breaks all boundaries of good taste with ease, the Beat em' up series with pride on a long indexing History may look back.
Beat em up games are really not my hobby, so I'm doing to "Street Fighter" and Co. for many years a wide berth. If I, however, a fighting game with great joy and since the beginning of the series games, then it's "Mortal Kombat". Nothing soft flushed, no unnecessary frills, no squeak colorful scenes, no mimimi. Only hard-hitting, uncompromising and bloody fights that take place before dark scenes with opportunities for interaction and the craziest combatants of fighting game history. And so for almost a week, I'm already gamble on diligently, have finished the campaign MKX, now more than 150 fights in the account and give the following times short my two cents to the latest beat 'em up blood orgy from.
GRAPHICS:
Visually, MKX a pretty good figure, especially during the fights. The character models are detailed, all moves are a feast for the eyes (especially the Brutalitys and Fatalitys) and everything goes Design Technically nothing more and nothing less than 100% higher than in a casting. Although the story cutscenes look a bit frumpy, but let's face it, the importance of optics during the fights, and since everything fits!
GAME MODES, FIGHTER & CO.
Apart from the usual 1 vs 1 fights and other modes on the same I'm still talking, of course MKX also offers a story mode. This takes place very entertaining and all you change long nose always the character, so that one with the times and must play with the fighters. Times The game time is okay, which also applies to the entertainment factor. Especially dialogues are a plenty on offer and so can the cinematic staging of the story, mind you for a fighting game can really see.
Whether Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Mileena, Kenshi, Jax, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Kano, Ermac or Goro. Many well-known fighters are again one of the party. However, be brought into focus not only the veterans of the series, but also for example their children. Thus, among other slips into the skin of Cassie Cage (Johnny's daughter) or Takeda (Kenshi's son). Well I also like the look of MKX. The old fighters are "aged" in fact, and even the clothing style is apocalyptic ... pretty smart!
The game modes include the famous towers. These consist in MKX from traditional towers as they are known (Classic, Test your luck and your strength or Survivor) and surviving towers that regularly come up with new challenges (daily, hourly, Champions League) together. I especially like the Test your luck towers. Random modifiers are here in front of each selected battle that could affect the game take (more damage, missiles falling from the sky, a cant coated screen or a darkened screen, and many more). In addition, you can with other players measure around the world in 1 vs 1 and team contest. Couch Action, ie offline fights, of course, again there.
FRACTIONS, RANKS & KOMBAT CARD:
Well I also like the fractions. Early in the game you have to decide for one of 5 factions (Lin Kuei, Black Dragon, Brotherhood of Shadow, Special Forces, White Lotus), but can later change the menu again. The fraction quasi represents the organization to which you belong, and so you can henceforth rank said fraction by won fights and met challenges ascend. When changing the group, however, you lose all progress within the organization, which is why this step should be well thought out. In addition, you can compete with fighters of other groups online and see which group leads straight Worldwide.
In addition to the faction rank there in MKX also has a player rank, climbing etc. Bit by bit with each victory. Furthermore, it is possible to create an own Kombat card in which you can select the frame, the symbol and the background itself or put together. This accessory is switched gradually released by Level Rises and of course all the components also fulfill a purpose, such as more EP for a victory or more Koins. Even the player and faction rank can be seen on it.
STATISTICS & EXTRAS:
As always, there is also an extensive statistics with everything your heart desires. Whether the completed towers, the disputed matches, win / loss, EP's, faction points etc. pp. Even before an online battle the percentage chances are computed / displayed. And the extras offer much good stuff, such as a collection of character previews, concept art, fan-Arts, finisher and music pieces.
CRYPT:
Last but not least you will not miss the crypt. This one roams in MKX in a first person perspective and it is divided into several areas (cemetery, caves, etc.) divided. The player then wait again dozens and dozens tombs want to be plundered for sometimes more and sometimes less Koins and behind which all sorts Unlockables (outfits, Fatalitys, concept drawings, etc.) verbirgen. The Sammelwahn breaks at the latest after the first of plundered grave and all motivated as always immensely.
CONCLUSION:
Mortal Kombat X is an around-happy-package for MK fans. The scope is enormous, the gameplay known / catchy / funny as ever, the design and the rocking moves, especially the Fatalitys, are to the teeth to brutal trooper ... and on top of that very creative. Here MK remains absolutely faithful. 5 Stars!
