I play the game to the time the controller - a Logitech Driving Force Pro I but are at home and even that will soon tried in combination with the game ...
To control:
I got immediately a good feeling for control. All vehicles feel (understandable) differently. An Escort MK1 rear-wheel drive, for example, very difficult to control, a Suzuki Swift with FWD, however tame and a Fiesta WRC a real beast ... It's just fun, try out the different vehicles and control.
For graphics:
I am with the graphics more than satisfied. It is not expected candy graphics as Dirt3. Sure the competition has more to offer there - which is certainly due to the many years of work by Codemasters. But my point is: whether a rally simulation is good or not, you realize the fact that you can do at a WP better than to look for the image out.
Gameplay:
The WP's are very demanding. Very positive I think the bumps on various routes - the car is tossed back and forth and one has to keep his load the car quietly. A departure is immediately punished evil - stones hiding in the tall grass or holes offside tear the car faster than expected.
A negative point: Often the announcements arrive very late - if you full throttle from a "law 4" comes in 4th gear and it comes immediately following a "Left 2" then I would like to know ahead of the curve combination - sometimes comes the announcement but only if you already tried with handbrake to prevent the worst. But that is not the rule, in and of itself, the whole works very well. Nevertheless, I wanted to mention it here.
The Career:
Provides long game, it takes a long time to rise and better car to be able to afford it themselves.
Just that I find very good, it is very well simulates a career path.
One must Ingeniuere, mechanics and managers set and can adjust your car visually. You have to take care of sponsors and research of vehicle parts. The whole keeps the game and off the track alive.
Genial I find also: The possible vehicle settings before a stage are Supersize - so much have seen in anyone yet Rally game. I know of CMR in 2005 and other rally games you I've played a lot just so: you can change chassis depth, spring rate, tires and gear with the help of a slider to 5 levels. Here you can even change the translation of the individual gears - just as an example, the settings as diverse.
Similarly, the repair after a WP is very diverse. One can in the fields such as: single fix things and leave out other engine, transmission, chassis, body or cooling.
So you can, for example, at the point body repair only the cracked windshield and does not have to hook the whole point body - that would only cost a lot of time, time that you'd rather invest for engine, transmission or cooling.
Shortly to the menu:
I do not understand is why so often told the Menu control would be complicated and outdated. This is perhaps due to the fact that the kiddies rather superficial menu's á la are now accustomed F1 2010/2011 or Dirt and just do not feel like thinking something. I found myself in any case immediately in the menu zurrecht, it reminds me of that of CMR2005 - and I like that. Not overloaded and you will find everything in its place. Only annoying over time: The menu music - the same as in GT5 strumming. But that also interferes with only secondary and tarnishes not the gameplay.
My conclusion: The only thing that really bothers me that I have not bought the game already. It is great fun, feels very realistic with the off driver aids and prompts whärend the WP full concentration ...
Short Overview:
Control: 4.5 of 5
Graphics: 4 of 5
Career Mode: 5 of 5
Difficulty 4.5 of 5
Menu navigation: 4 of 5
Realism: 5 of 5
Fun: 5 of 5
Another advantage: The real teams and routes. Because really comes to good flair.
Strong buy recommendation for all who are on simulations. I see, for example, Richard Burns Rally as the best racing game ever - simply because it was very, very realistic. This game is the first thing RBR again really close Ran is also why overall 5 of 5 stars!
For those who want more graphics and simple arcade racing, had better access to Dirt 3 ...
