I am not one of the people who make snap decisions. So my imagination alone a judgment only after repeated listening. Anders always only times repulsive. That's human, so I liked many albums after the 2nd or 3rd pass, while others at the first time, but later no longer.
In "hinterland" it has made with me after the 2nd "click" sound. After that I liked not only the catchy tunes like "In the rain of ashes" or "hinterland", but throughout everything. Especially good "Everything Ends", "finally arrived" or "Ariel", only with "La Rue Morgue" I could not really make friends.
The lyrics are accustomed emotional, sensitive, sophisticated, thoughtful, .... and the issues not necessarily repetitions of "XOXO", as some claim. Thus, for example, "Everything Ends" or "After the demo's went downhill" thematically new to the program. Sure there are also songs with thematic parallels to his previous albums, but that's when many artists and so I find not bad. The perspective is always another and that's what matters.
Regarding the beats etc. I do not operate like the previous speakers, an analysis of each track now. This is like having a good meal: If it tastes good, I do not care what's in the recipe and the new album tastes damn good and the cards to Outback Tour close to me are already on the way to my mailbox.
