First impression: Looking in Africa

Great upheavals are in the astronaut school, the new director has unceremoniously cut the semester break for a few weeks. So fall out of the planned summer holiday for most students. Mark Brandis and his friends decide to summarily for a trip to Africa. But Mark actually has other plans: He wants to find his father, whom he suspected there in a labor camp ...

Mark Brandis space cadet tells the prequel to the successful science fiction series by the same name Rettungsflieger. Author Balthasar von Weymarn proves thereby also highly original way that the genre has to be closely linked with fleets and various wild battles in space is not necessarily, but laid the plot of The Aladin move primarily to Africa that has just become part of the republics. The conceived the original authors new world order, as it could be in the 22 century, is taken up here and forms a very successful setting for the action. The still rather fragile peace in Africa, information and dealer support programs for the integration of the new states are some successful examples of the very clexer imaginary world. The plot is a logical development of previous events and notes and is dedicated to the search for Mark's father. For this purpose, it is often more adventurous the futuristic to, is provided with many small suspense and ends in a very convincing and fast-paced narrated scene, bringing the Mark in a rather precarious situation. Thus, the arc is struck without even giving the listener a pretty mysterious note of two operating in the background with men on the road, which has fallen well even at the very beginning and brings a lot of humor with him to the second part of the story.

Like the original series is also here working with very good speakers who can bring the scenes to life. Friedel Morgenstern I liked, for example as Annika Melnikova very good, it looks very natural, but also energetic and steadfast in the role. Sebastian Fitzner says Robert Monnier as credible and fits, it fits very well to the scenery. Anke Reitz stone can be heard as Lady Kellerman and can make with her expressive voice for attention. Other speakers include Melanie Pukaß, Leyla Rohrbeck and Manja Doering.

Has been very well staged and this sequence As otherwise usual. The typical space flair of this series is because of the other settings not available, with well-chosen and atmospheric music and particularly credible and sound effects, however, every single moment will be implemented very atmospherically dense.

The cover was designed again very futuristic and shows an ultra-modern magnetic levitation, moving through a seemingly endless desert landscape of Africa. High cliffs rise in the cloudy sky out, everything is decorated in earthy ocher, only the train stands out alone druchd ie coloring. Inside, there are again a little explanation to a term from the history.

Conclusion: Marks search for his father is very exciting and entertaining been implemented. It can convince itself, but also the integration into the political complications on the future Earth not only the plot. It is some times quite tough for Mark, so the lack of space Flair was again very skillfully balanced highly recommended!
