The whole could also do with a calculator, but it's nice that it's included with. I know that it is not included with the next smaller device. That reminds me but the 50 meters were more important, it is therefore a "bonus".
It is also good that you can set the device to which it measures by different bodies. So for example, device tip or end device. The operation is quite simple. Once the pressed "main key" and the target laser is visible. Once pressed and already the measure is taken. It's important to keep the device steady or possibly fix. So that there is as little deviation, the device has built a small vial (spirit level).
In my case anyway is rounded on closest possible level, so it is not so wild, if you are 5 centimeters wrong. In direct comparison with the tape measure way, there is no deviation.
The "push-button" would in my opinion can be calm or greater "Marked". If one has in hand a notebook and pen or mobile phone and with the other hand measures (possibly even from an unfavorable position), it can sometimes be a bit fiddly. But that's all matter of habit.
The device has a (seemingly permanently mounted) rubber reinforcement which ensures that the device is relatively safe when it pressed for example on the wall. To transport a case with belt clip (via Velcro) is attached. Here the left and right are also the four AAA batteries pure (also below), if you like me do not use the unit for a long time. A hand strap on the unit can also be helpful.
CONCLUSION:
Sure there are such devices for 10 euros a discounter, but whether and to what extent you can rely on as the dimensions, I do not know. The magic word is clear "laser". Most affordable rangefinder work with ultrasound and there may well be variations times. I think if you just like I measure outdoors, are set a limit.
I have (as in fact rarely) opted for a brand device and am fully satisfied.
The only thing you could criticize would be a lack of indicator lights, on the other hand it is actually rare at dusk or at night on the way to measure something.
