Therefore, I must disagree with the previous speakers do not actually -the first two TVs had said problems- but I should add that Samsung with the current production and software line of PS 42Q7H then (which are in stock since 25/01/2007 at Amazon) all said error has completely eradicated!
The picture via HDMI and YUV is a dream, rarely seen so sharp and detailed images. The Scharzwert is top notch, and provides the often-praised Panasonic TH-42PV60E my opinion in the shade (direct comparison in the local electronics store).
The picture on digital satellite and SCART is excellent, depending on the broadcaster. ARD & ZDF set at SAT standards, RTL2 and DSF are bad. Since there is often mentioned wax faces here and there to see but there should not be forgotten that it is a bad signal source and the Panasonic and Pioneer also have exactly the same problems there.
Yet a little edge Note: It often happens that the buyer "flackerende" image fault (see various internet forums). Also, I've found it. This is due to the DNIe that automatically regulates the brightness of the image. But I could also notice that the levels off after a certain period of operation and since then works beautifully.
My attitude recommendation:
Digital RM a, SMD from default Custom. select and adapt as follows:
Contrast 60, Brightness 52-53, 30 sharpness, color and tint 45 Normal.
Branding? Afterglow? No Problem!
The built-in Burn works fine. And should something afterglow what that create points "All White" and "Signal Pattern" Remedy. I once had nearly an hour long my DVD player started accidentally, without a DVD was inside. This prankte the word "Pioneer" for 1 hour in red in the same place. There was seen a slight afterglow (outline of the lettering in scharzem image to detect). 2 minutes walk the correction pattern can (which can light up as it were in shades of gray from black to white the pixels on the PDP) and there was nothing more to see! Toll!
The sound is more than adequate. Of course, who wants the full force, should look at his films only in conjunction with a Dolby Digital system, but for normal use in series, shows, sports and news you can not fault it. Not better or worse than the rest of the market.
The optical design is a dream. This piano black finish is certainly not for everyone, but I personally think it's excellent. Really classy, unlike the cheap look of the Panasonic. Unfortunately, this comes on the product photo on Amazon here not so to the fore.
Conclusion: For this unbeatable low in 1099 and guaranteed error-free stock is 100% purchase recommendation!
The TV has been running with me over 100 hours, and I have not regretted it one.
