Especially the latter encounters! Dos unfortunately no longer. The other talents have been somewhat neglected. In any case, this impression arises if you previously had the right to hold a new American Idiot in hand.
I must say that I do not Uno was so bad!. Although it is certainly clear fallen compared to the last two albums. Nevertheless, it had good moments. And you have every band concede to develop, as long as the fundamental character of the band remains. So I am, even if it took awhile, accustomed to "Kill the DJ". Meanwhile, I think it's actually not so bad. Really great because I find "Nuclear Family", "Rusty James", "Sweet 16" and of course "Oh Love".
Mainly because they combine the qualities described above. But that's about it. The rest, I have to say, it is unfortunately only standard. I mean, standard fare, there were isolated cases actually on every album. Just not in such numbers.
In! Dos trend unfortunately continued. There are still songs in themselves, are outstanding, such as "Lazy Bones," "Amy" (great ballad!) Or "Lady Cobra" which I think is great because of the RockŽnRolla- bonds. Although it is not a punk or something similar, but still nice catchy rock.
Negative falls "Nightlife" from. I do not know how to define it. Stylistically somewhere between Madonna, Lady Gaga and Bob Marley definitely has nothing to do with Green Day. If there pop ambitions were there, had BJ and Co might prefer to redo ne Network panel. The rest is somehow 08/15, nothing that somehow stands out particularly positively or negatively.
I mean, with a Green Day Fanboy goggles on (like me) is still an album, which one can pass the time at a longer highway. But it just not legendary album, which are included in the all time favorite-ranking with hymns.
So a piece! Dos unfortunately even worse than! Uno. The good thing is, for Part Three high enough air now remains upward. On the other hand, I hope so heavy that the trend started will not continue the way it! Dos by! Uno now suggests. If so, you would have done better to just make an album. The right and then as a logical sequel to monumental works such as American Idiot and 21 Century Breakdown. Wait and see.
Generally, I would appreciate it, and I think I speak because many of the soul, when Green Day again a piece of wide goes back to the roots. Again some more Distortion place clean sounds. More punk rock than mainstream.
