unfortunately has only the receiver unit (parent) on battery. The transmitter unit is available only through the AC adapter. This is a shame because I was looking for exactly a product in which both units operate via battery. So it is only cheaper China-Krams and money definitely not worth it. The description reads at this point, unfortunately, is very different and! misleading.
