Disconnections in data transfers

I use the adapter to an Asus laptop with Win 7 HP 64bit to a USB 3.0 port. As hard drives 3.5 inch IDE and SATA I use hard drives and also 2,5Zoll IDE and SATA hard drives. Every time I have disconnections when I back data between the PC and the hard drives and herschiebe. The adapter is nice and warm during use and after about 5min data transfer aborts the connection, an error message that the source can not be found. The adapter docked simply by USB with the famous USB Sound off! Then once is nothing more. Until the PC the adapter can detect again, must the times min. ne quarter of an hour to cool.
At least works the supplied power adapter, which I can use to power of a CD drive. As a data cable for the drive I use here an older Noname USB 2.0 adapter, which also works perfectly unlike this Logilink Adapter!
I had very bad experiences with often Logilink. From now on I'm going to steer clear of this brand ...
