The new album is great !!
All Time Low have again changed after Interscope Records back to an indie label (Hopeless Records) and produced the album as they "unsigned" were and had only the band during development and you can hear that it's a lot of earlier (So Wrong, It's Right) and sounds simply by All Time Low.
1. The Reckless And The Brave: 4.5 / 5
Super entry and a "We're back"! A chorus to sing along and you just have a text which makes courage to do what you want.
2. Backseat Serenade: 4.5 / 5
Definitely a highlight of the CD with a catchy text and nice background vocals by Cassadee Pope. Rians drumming stands out. Solely the electronic start I do not like.
3. If These Sheets Were The States: 5/5
Also one of my favorite songs on the album. The text is romantic and the guitar voice contagious and professional.
4. Somewhere In Neverleand: 5/5
Probably my favorite song. Everything is just right: The instrumentalization, Alex beautiful, strong voice, text, everything. I especially like the reference to Peter Pan. The imaginative text to describe that one together (ie with Wendy) flees somewhere to Neverland from reality and there begins a beautiful, better life.
5. So Long Soldier: 5/5
Also an incredibly strong song. It is unlike any other (just 2:49 min. Long), but good otherwise. He is aggressive, very guitar-heavy and is very reminiscent of the beginnings of blink-182 ("Dude Ranch"). The text is about the history of the band, honest and amazing !!
6. The Irony Of Choking On A LifeSaver: 5/5
Reminiscent of the best songs from "Dirty Work". In addition, the title "The Irony Of Choking On A LifeSaver" alone has 5 points earned (The irony at a Lifesaver -> American candy company - to swallow). This irony runs through the whole song, so loves to All Time Low !! The song is for all those who are never satisfied ("Why can not you just be happy for me").
7. To Live And Let Go: 3.5 / 5
Good song, not terrific (I like "kid, you're a cut above, always just a cut above the rest!" Does not sound bad at), but quite guitar-heavy with honest text over the release.
8. Outlines: 4/5
Reminds me of "Time Bomb", but otherwise sounds not really for All Time Low, but is still a good song. The text is great: A great moment and what will be left of you when you no longer there?
9. Thanks To You: 3/5
Nothing fancy, good job on guitars, otherwise nothing stands out, but not bad.
10. For Baltimore: 5/5
Definitely one of the best songs - great! At first slowly (sounds a bit like Green Day), then fireworks. The guitar (s) reminds (ren) me a lot of blink-182's "Up All Night". Shortly before the end, it is then again slowly, and then play the grand finale the blaring refrain.
11. Paint You Wings: 4/5
Good song, a great and convincing chorus.
12. So Long And Thanks For All The Booze: 4/5
Great end to a great album. The song is a big "You can contact me time". Entertaining song with typical (slightly aggressive) Text and great instruments. A perfect ending!
Total: 52.5 / 60 points, so I can every All Time Low fan (even those who want to be there) recommend this album, for everyone will be catered for.
I am looking forward to hearing this album live once, because that will be determined a huge highlight !!
