Dowland once boring

Dowland once boring

Lute Music Vol.2 (Audio CD)

Customer Review

On me the lute playing of Nigel North seems very uninspired and boring. He almost manages one to spoil the fun of the great composer John Dowland. Few pieces are something soulful and spirited implemented (eg Mr. Langton's Galliard) and stand out from the monotonous Allerlei. The quiet pieces are distended downright. Pity about Dowland, he does not deserve!
