Customer Review

It begins first times on stupid. A simple guitar melody begins and can not take me for themselves. It sounds so mean and - yes - nasal and just simply unpleasant. But after about a minute, this melody breaks off, or rather, it breaks up and down as it is beautiful and from there it will then also beautifully, until the end. What have since recorded and pressed onto CD Parhelia, so with the best of what is currently in post-rock on the market.

Loud and fast? I am sure that they could, if they wanted, but I think they do not want. What other is loud and fast, is intense and large in Parhelia. Some would perhaps "pathetic" are saying, I think, however, it sounds at all size and weight still very down to earth and authentic and sometimes the actual highlights of their songs are also the redeemed, calmer parts. Wherein the plate-meaning not end in a single Principle / intended final climax. It's just "parthetisch". (Has the pun Fritze rausgehauen a return to me ...)

Here melodies are introduced, here melodies are built up, here melodies are played. It's magnificent architecture, where you will notice each development phase. In the beginning there is usually only a basic framework which no longer appears spectacular. But then layer by layer to it and it is bigger and clearer, and finally one is faced with an incredibly beautiful, fascinating - yes - absolutely natural-looking building.

Here, time is taken, here melodies are celebrated, almost celebrated. Dreamy rock music.

The absolute highlights for me are "Pacific" and "Inertia". Because that is really brought to a head and each of these songs would be taken for the acquisition of the whole album worth.
