"I believe the Audio Fidelity Gold CD of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits will have the best sounding version of" Like A Rolling Stone "ever. Just something to be proud of." The schrebt Steve Hoffman on the Audio Fidelity website in the product description for the recently published "Bob Dylan Greatest Hits" CD. That is not to place undue self-praise, which I have convinced myself personally. The sound quality of this gold-CD is indeed spectacular, who knows Steve Hoffman published years ago remaster of Highway 61 Revisited (DCC), which is guessed about what awaits him here. In no Steve Hoffman has now limited to only edit the "Greatest Hits" -Masterband, the basis for the new remasters were rather the original stereo master that were produced at that time for the individual songs. This issue is the American version of the published 1967 "Greatest Hits" album, this country is the album with a slightly different tracklisting common. The opening track "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35" though does not necessarily belong to my personal favorite songs by Dylan, and only 10 songs are much too little to even begin to offer a truly representative sample of Dylan songs from the 60s, and ultimately I prefer actually before each original album of Dylan from the 60s every Dylan compilation. Dylan not to have heard in this phenomenal, unprecedented sound quality, however, does not go well! I am really looking forward to the announced for the coming months Dylan SACDs by MFSL.
