Within Temptation is a band that continues to develop. You could see the dark, multi-layered debut "Enter" still clearly the category Gothic Metal assign, you do already difficult when too deep, imaginative successor work "Mother Earth". Common to both works, that they are simply looking strokes of genius, whose complex arrangements can develop even after frequent listening even further, and never be bored. It therefore is not surprising though, that the third CD in turn brings a break in style with it, but that it would turn out like this, I had not hoped for. While a few songs (like my favorite, "Somewhere") could still pass as a stopgap to "Mother Earth", is the majority of this work has consistently undemanding pop music, only shallow song, which differentiate from each other hardly. All hacking and eyelets were weggebügelt what remains is the beautiful, angelic voice Sharon to raise the nobility, which unfortunately can not alone on this Work by the mediocrity. Radio is not enough, practically all of the songs, such as "Memories" proving and in this context it might also make sense. Unfortunately sounds to me but all more or less equal, therefore listening to the whole CD is just plain boring, because all the tracks sound very similar. Fans of the first albums I would therefore urgently put his heart before buying a Listen. Conversely, I can imagine that people who love this CD, especially with the first album might have its difficulties. This album I can rather friends of Kate Bush or Tori Amos (I belong also) recommend, although it called artists is miles from the quality and especially variability away. Friends harder foods (about Nightwish, Tristania Edenbridge or) are likely to be disappointed with this album, and let it collect dust on the shelves soon. In my initial disappointment, the hope is mixed that the pale first impression would lay by frequent listening, but now I had to bury this hope. The three stars I forgive just because I'm here and there delicately reminded when listening to past exploits. Conclusion: just plain boring.
