On this album I've been waiting and song snippets that could be heard for several weeks, promised a very successful follow-up to "Devotion", which was a brilliant soul, R'n'B, Electro album, and is still very audible. "Tough love" is perhaps even more than just a successful successor and executes the chosen direction of its predecessor even further, bringing on the absolutely commendable deluxe edition with four terrific bonus tracks everything a modern Electro Soul album with pop bonds needs as: chill electro grooves, soulful flatterers, funky Uptempotracks and ballads. "Tough love" was known as a single for a long time and had a his cool groove and its effects, "Cruel" is the coolest song of the album, groovy and catchy, "Want your feeling" with its slightly danceable beat and the sudden onset Piano Another highlight, "Pieces" an insanely flattering goosebumps ballad with a lot of soul and "Share it all" with its subtle guitars and a highlight among beautiful bonus tracks. Again and again, the album shines with its instrumentation, the strings in "Cruel" and "Midnight Caller" are gigantic, the already mentioned piano used perfectly in "Want your feeling". Of course, Jessie Ware's voice is always insinuating and also very varied. One particular voice definitely the star stands out very positively from all R'n'B. Only the new single, which was written by Ed Sheeran, "Say you love me" is too average and tailored to the radio listeners, which may end up not even change for me the great choir. Overall, however, for me 14 outstanding songs, which should receive more attention. A singer-songwriter, who somehow represents for me the Sade modern times without being able to compare them directly. Great! And necessarily rely on the deluxe version!
