Usher Raymond, a possible successor to R.Kelly, brings "Confessions" the sequel to the 2001 released "8701" .In contrast to its predecessor's "Confessions" less funky, less experimentally has less Collabos, less Porduzenten were at work, and it is less emphasis on club tracks. Now this may at first listen not good, but works just fine. Although the songs have on one side a certain similarity (it was also JD responsible for almost all the tracks) on the other side they surpass but the "Smoothness" of "My Way" album, for example, wide. Back to the roots was announced and you can hear that. A typical, minimalist soul ballad like "Can You Handle It" would be to "8701" misplaced. The Slow Jamz like "Follow me" or "Superstar" more reminiscent and the 1997 panel. To this large dose of Soul's next to the Burner "Yeah" but also some party songs like "Caught up" or "Bad Girl". Great on "Confessions" are next to Usher's voice clearly kraftvolelr used firstly the lyrics to another brilliant tracks like the 2nd single "Burn", "Do it to me" or "Simple Things" (of course must "Yeah" not be forgotten ) All in all a really smoothe, chilled RnB plate off the ausgelutschten paths, some of which also tend to Soul artists like Maxwell reminds than old Usher stuff
