An Ocean of Love (Album)

Customer Review

I must admit, I am wary of the works that are the critical acclaim. For example, "5,000 kilometers per second" (awarded in Angoulême in 2011) or more recently "That summer" have left me unmoved. But this time, I must concur with the general opinion: "An ocean of love" is a gem - and not even a little, since it has 200 pages. A transatlantic epic incredible tenderness and packed comical situations where alternate with environmental disasters, where we cross a fortune teller who practice divination in crepes and a vengeful gull fished rubbish to drop them on head of polluters, where sardine oil helps to escape and where to donate the hook could make you the new protected from Fidel Castro.

Lupano here confirms the fine humanism that already in "Old furnaces"; about Panaccione, his drawings are eloquent enough to do without a word. It emerges from this "Ocean of Love" heart swelled with emotion, thinking that we will be very lucky, later, to love as much as the tiny fisherman to bottle ass glasses and his ample bigoudène ready while to find him.
