This antenna is very effective, even when used in poor conditions (flat instead of vertically, not necessarily oriented toward the transmitter, 3 meters from the window and not stuck above and without re search strings). Good reception of 40 channels.
However, I am very close to the transmitter (4 km) and without obstacle, but the building itself disrupted the signal with my old antenna and that is why I bought this one which seems not sensitive to disturbance.
She still has a drawback and limitation:
- It is very sensitive to the quality of contact on the jack on the unit. Comes with a small diameter outlet (center contact = signal) and without an adapter, it works fine on my Sony TVs but more difficult on other devices, at least without an adapter.
- It does not work, or very bad (75% of chains, at best), connected to an amplifier. I suspect too high signal level or impedance problem because the results are better (but not good) with the amplifier gain set to minimum.
Given its current facility, I will not comment on the quality of suction cups.
First evaluation (for the stay, I said that I had tested plugged into the amp that yet worked perfectly with my Antengrin):
On the window of the room, opposite the Eiffel Tower (4 km), on the 30th floor so no display building, no reception.
In the bedroom, a little better but not even received as well as my whip antenna under 15 cm and not amplified.
In addition, the suction cups do not hold and decision is not up to current standards (diameter of the inner contact too low). I had to add an adapter.
Far too expensive for performance.
