PRO:
+ The tape is long enough and keeps very well, even after Korrekturumkleben. Important here is that you entschmandet the frame a few hours before gluing, if necessary, good wiping soap residue and to dry the frame properly. The only time that with us the tape has not kept, was on slightly damp surfaces. Our first tesa velcro we have installed 7 years ago to the window. The network we had in the meantime exchange repeatedly, the band still holds.
+ The network maintains long before it becomes brittle. We live in the rainy Rhine Valley and our living room has full southern exposure. The net is the weather so fully exposed to all year - and that makes textiles sooner or later brittle. On average, we can let the nets of tesa three years on the windows until they are brittle. The other networks, we tried (hardware store, Aldi, other vendors here on Amazon) giving on the sunny side in the section for a year and a half up the ghost, then you have to buy more and replace. Compared tesa cuts as price / performance technically so much better off.
NEUTRAL:
o When calculating the size should take into account is that it takes about 3-4cm more mosquito screens in length and height, depending on the window size as the window is large. The network can indeed stretch a bit, but the one that sticks to the Velcro on the frame, has per page so ~ 5mm surcharge, on the other hand it makes more sense, not quite as spacke to disconnect the power, so that the adhesive tape does not come off at some point. In a window of 100cm + 100cm so I would recommend a cut of 104cmx104cm. But the network is here for example too small. Stupid, is here on Amazon by the description is not clear that the net was not made for windows à 100x100cm but himself 100x100cm measures. That was also correct in our 5 packs, we even had each 1cm excess per side.
CONTRA:
- The supplied mounting tools were always botch and have not improved over the years. Included is a (dull) blade for cutting of excess power and a plastic strip with grooves that allows you to "massage" the power in the Velcro so that it keeps better. With the razor blade to tear the net rather than broken to cut it and the plastic strip will damage the power supply before it sees fit. But does not matter because (not to be sharp must) with a pair of nail scissors and an old toothbrush works the head and shoulders, even if the snipping so maybe one minute per window takes longer. It is precisely for the tools I give then a star deduction.
CONCLUSION:
The most durable fly screen, which we have tried so far. The Velcro holds several windows for over 7 years. From the price / performance so far the most convincing product, even if I have botched the supplied fixing tools. Only because of the size you have to watch something because of the vague product description on Amazon, otherwise unrestricted buy recommendation.
