The finish is exemplary, and the large headphones that cover well the ear (circum aural headphones so) are comfortable (not too hot despite the summer temperatures, no crushing sensation) and properly insulate the surrounding noise. Finally the helmet is light enough for a wireless, and once properly adjusted, I could string together a few hours of play without discomfort.
The buttons fall well under the hand and the microphone inspires confidence in its manufacture, although I would have appreciated that its hinge is a little firmer.
Driver level, we find the "Gaming Software 'from Logitech, which allows to fully configure his helmet (equalizer, sound and micro levels, buttons, etc.) and to see the battery status in particular. The software is not necessarily a model of ergonomics, but it has the merit of being comprehensive and common with my G700. Concerning the buttons of the headset, I preferred the binder combinations of keyboard rather than use the profile system, which gives me at least a total compatibility with any software that offers keyboard shortcuts (like TeamSpeak ).
Be careful to install the USB radio dongle, do not put it directly into a USB port (hidden behind your computer, for example), instead use the reel makes USB extension office to move away. It will save you some disconnections and interference.
Regarding the sound, one has to do to a closed helmet very multimedia-oriented, so Basseux very outset, with mediums back. It goes well in movies and games, it farts in all directions, but with music the results are more mixed. It will be fine to send a clip time to time, but it's not a real show dedicated helmet. Note that you have to go easy on the equalizer, the headphones tend to saturate quickly on complex scenes (low saturating a big explosion for example). In fact, after trying to equalize a bit, I quickly returned to the default neutral setting. Note that like many wireless headsets (all?), There was a slight static noise in the headphones, audible only when no sound is played.
Micro level as well, my buddies players TeamSpeak have only good things to say compared to my old micro solution (my blutooth headset phone, yes, it's dirty ...). I am perfectly audible, there is no noise or breath. The voice morphing options are funny, you try once and then forgotten.
7.1 The mode however it's clear the blank. I already had a Razer headset 7.1 and I have never been satisfied with this mode. Logitech is a little less worse, but it's still unusable. For a movie or a game, it may pass. The first obvious effect is that the activation mode gives an impression of spaciousness to the sound, it is particularly striking ambient sounds that take on another dimension. In contrast to the voices and sound effects, everything is flanked by a kind of unpleasant reverberation, and 7.1 completely crushes the sound spatialization. It is paradoxically more difficult in this mode of perceiving what is on the sides, front or back (particularly in a game) that simple stereo mode. And for music, forget it, forget.
The helmet has a decent battery life, I regularly hold between 8 and 10 depending on whether I use the mic or not. Basically in my case it takes two good evenings playing quietly. Charging is done via a standard micro USB port so you can plug it into any USB port or charger with the correct cable, practice.
A now see its reliability over time, meanwhile I'm totally satisfied.
