By entering the Lodge, the new apprentice needs benchmarks, a framework that tells him what are the origins, values, content, general principles, the history of Freemasonry. Certainly, it should learn from his brothers, but many masons read little and do not really remember the basic elements above (if they have known them once). Therefore, in the absence of a zealous instructor, the young initiate will often consult outdated books randomly selected from the library of the discoveries of the lodge and continnuer spread a state of ignorance which is characteristic of many workshops ..
In this context, the work of Mainguy gives all its information explicitly. I bought this book and definitely use in my instructions to AA and CC. I will advocate the purchase of our new initiates.
