In these times of ongoing simplification of information via the major television media, Pascal Boniface had any legitimacy to imagine such a test. Big points positive, the diversity of topics (international politics, economy, terrorism and even sports) with a real willingness to try to speak correct and clear without being trapped in the cliches of an era that none evil reserve (while advancing his own ideas eventually :-)). The author summarizes the major thematics addressed in 4 lines, presents this qu'il'juge be the cliché of the moment in two and offers a clear analysis and finally weighted in one or two pages. Clear, clean and precise and more informative than a lot of Wikipedia pages can be quite surreal in their drafting. Points of stumbling blocks in the process, feeling that each topic discussed could be a theoretical test alone, but especially a small impression of warmth in about as the author often seeks the point of balance conflicting views or very marked opinions on politically or philosophically on a subject. Hence the risk of strongly irritate some readers. But, would you tell me, it's a little goal of the approach and the basis of this trial. Yes, but no gnashing of teeth in this reading, we must know. In any case, it is not bored for a second and agree or disagree with the views expressed by Pascal Boniface, it is good, in my opinion, to have on hand this little book on some big preconceptions and to question his opinions sometimes too easy that the mood of the time we needed and we often laziness, personnel stock. Useful on a principle of curiosity and a need for general culture, no doubt some readers will happily serve to show off in society, to give some basic general education and other valued input to public obloquy they will regard as an unnecessary test or contradicts their opinions. It seems to me that from this point of view, Pascal Boniface wrote this book on the principle of the Agora, the freedom to debate this or that idea, although it is not a specialist, and especially on the pleasure of addressing a host of varied subject. Everyone is free thereafter to dig and deepen their own knowledge. Simple and without boasting, this essay is worth reading and consulted often tout'en knowing that his words are not intended in any way to be complete, of course. It is ailleurs'instructif see how some reviewers of the book in love or not the content with quote quickly their opinions on a topic! In short, "specialists" go your way and "curious" borrow it! Personally, I may have bought this book to read and to give to a son in the first year of college.
