The title of this review is from Cheetah Chrome, one of the forefathers of the absolute filthy, infested rock'n'roll guitar and co-founder of Rocket From The Tombs and later the Dead Boys. I find that this saying fits perfectly to this disc and I could swear that the guys from surrogate would not mind a comparison with the above-mentioned bands. Already the last album "Rock" was terrific but "Hell in Hell" this tops it. Uncertainty Genre hard rock compared with the has given a refreshing lightness and you get the feeling that surrogate stand by their heroes and they do not give a caricature! Even the awesome cover bursting Reminisenzen when about the Judas Priest-devil fork appears or the "Iron Cross" that The Cult wears around her neck the logo and Lemmy. It is not just AC / DC Guitar Power that present us the guys here but also the gruff Street Punk, the dead guys to Stiv Bator and just played Chrome and rebirth experienced in the eighties: Zodiac Mindwarp. Surrogate the Hamburg School and their sometimes surly tearfulness have abandoned in favor life-affirming Rock'n'Roll High School and that's a good thing. I for one think it's more than just a shame, but that this great band has not yet made a breakthrough maybe that's just as well and we can continue to enjoy their surrogate and Raw Power. All Fünfe and thumb straight up: Rock'n'Roll can never die !!!
