THE BOOK OF DEATH (Paperback)

Customer Review

It seems that I take on the bandwagon with "The Book of Death" since qu''il is the fourth volume of the adventures of the Bourbon Kid, bloodthirsty killer a little special (it ''s the least that we can say). Fortunately, the novels seem to be read independently of each other: phew! Unfortunately, it quite spoile on previous volumes and inevitably it loses some subtleties: argh! Well balance the races: I really exploded to read this little literary UFO! It potshots at all costs, it swears up and down, it smells good adrenaline and testosterone. Basically, it ''s as fun as watching a movie Tarrantino, it goes in all directions, but it's strangely good. A guilty pleasure between two paving stones? Come on, let's rock''n'roll!

For those who do not know (like me) Bourbon Kid, it ''s just a guy who farts a cable crossed each qu''il consumes' bourbon, I will give you a thousand! Lawless, Bourbon Kid did not 's''encombre consciousness (it''s old fashioned) and does not stop at a nice time of slaughter to time (actually often). Now, to his credit, it must be admitted qu''il is not fully human and that its victims are not quite human either (sometimes). While "The Book of Death" kézako? It''sa thriller (for the bloodthirsty serial killer), fantastic (for the atmosphere Sunnydalesque the small town of Santa Mondega). Basically, if you like a little jokes muddy Sam & Dean in the TV series Supernatural, acadabrantesques situations Kill Bill, you do not will renounce "death book."

The best necessarily, it ''s reading the second or third degree. Otherwise, you are likely to be shocked by questions of ethics and the 'slaughter may' move your little heart. "The book of death", it ''s an entertaining cocktail as we sipped a sneer before certain situations. It must be said that the character of Sanchez, the hillbilly par excellence, is the clown of all situations and torque Kacy / Dante with their little spades provides real synergy novel. Anonymous mixing a multitude of colorful ingredients, which put together offer a patchwork that is quite addictive and that would not refuse Tarrantino. One thinks of the manga Death Note, the video game Devil May Cry and even to this good movie Evil Dead Sam Raimi. If these references do not mean anything, probably "The book of death" will not please you. For others, go eyes closed!
