From the appearance it resembles my old, the "printing area" under the handle here the spray head is activated while the previous model here the shot of steam regulated - so little getting used to. Simultaneously -and presumably for precisely the reason - are my fingers loosely around the handle (I do not want to always spray) and I have repeated the "operating" adjusted because the very smooth wheel is directly under the key for this.
Great on the DW9240 is really strong burst of steam and again narrower tip, which is really helpful and facilitated both in combination ironing also of heavier fabrics (jeans) or the crease joyful (linen). I ironed two machines yesterday and has never been done so quickly.
Downside - the vapor can not regulate - but because it is so strong, you can "dampen" (for more sensitive surfaces) without direct contact. Another minus, the water tank must be felt constantly replenished - with a positive note that it is easy to fill, as the opening is large.
As has already been named, the tank is empty, the iron is a strange growling noises and as the water level indicator is dark, is not immediately obvious that here simply lack of water .... but what is actually when I without steam will iron on "cotton" or "linen"? Rappelt and hums it then also constantly ....? no matter - I still have to test.
Furthermore, this iron is felt very heavy. I have not weighed it against my old, but already raised with an empty tank out of the package, I had the impression it weighs more ... with a lot of ironing, the time will be a little uncomfortable, I've also noticed yesterday.
Conclusion: good iron, if you want / ironing woman with strong steam - enough "refill" within reach has - and enough strength in the arm has to hold the part.
