Customer Review

First off, if you're a fan of NOFX and here expect the typical Melody Punk Fat Mike & Co., listen carefully reading here and wait for the next studio album of the guys.

If you are open minded enough to hear unusual publications and are open to various styles. what could be for you here.

Fat Mike, in his capacity frontman of US punk band NOFX, has written a musical. It is, of course, to punks, conflicts in the family home, drugs, (commercial) sex, etc. For the musical interpretation he gathered many big names, including members of Lagwagon, Dropkick Murphys, No Use For A Name, Alkaline Trio, RKL, Mad Caddies , The Living End, Frank Turner and many others., around.

Lyrically are of course the musical story the content before. Musically the whole thing is quite abwechsungsreich. Ballads, punk songs, folk tracks, jazzy numbers and course halfway classic musical / revue numbers. Through the voices of the scene the whole remains nevertheless always halfway rough. Some of the songs are quite short, however, rather sketches or skits sung. But Fat Mike's songwriting remains most clearly visible in all variety of styles.

If you do not mind the wild style and vocal medley, can be found here one way or another pearl to discover. And like NOFX usual remains of textual joke not on the track.

Unfortunately, the texts are not available in. However, a poster booklet with the poster for the musical on the one hand and information check the origin and a "Who plays / sings what" on the other. The whole comes in a chic Digi Pack.

With Anspieltipps I am unhappy with this disc. But the opener "Monsters" is really quite a hit!

For Punk fans more of a two or three star candidate. For Fat Mike / NOFX die hard fans certainly worth five stars. I commute at me a solid four stars. The very idea and the Allstar implementation must be duly appreciated here.

Let's see if this thing is also listed times in Germany. Or if Mike us at least happy with a DVD of the play. I would be interested!
